Give a coastal route a realistic daily shape
A short distance on the map can still make a full day when the road is narrow and the stops are frequent. Build the outing around one main destination, then leave the rest as optional.

Put it on the route before adding a chain of viewpoints.
Allow for the approach
The last part of the journey may be slower than the main road. Look at the actual access route, not just the destination marker.

At the end, note what made the stage comfortable rather than how much distance you covered. That information helps the next plan.
Another driver’s longer day is not a target you need to match.
